Beneatha was thinking about her dreams, her perspective turned from becoming a doctor to gaining equality for Africa-Americans. Assagai blamed her for not insisting her dreams. And he gave her his blueprint of his African dreams. He left a space for Beneatha to think about and also think about his own goal.

Walter was going to contact with Mr. Lindner to exchange the house for money. His action got the blames from all family members. Finally, when Mr. Lindner came, he told him they were still going to move to the house and he said his family would work hard to gain the money. Mr. Lindner left and anyone else in the family packed up and was ready to move to a new environment. Mama finally left and took her plant with her. Everyone praised Walter's choice and Mama said he finally became a man.
