The line I like is “There is little lasting joy in things done only for gold or fame.” I think the point the poet wants to express is that the joy that fame and gold bring to people is not lasting. People should focus more on the mental happiness rather than just gold and fame. The another line I like is “Greet your ancestors.” Sometimes when people live in a new environment, they always try their best to adapt in that new environment, culture, etc. However, the poet wants to express that cherish your own culture. Don’t forget the origin. Cherish the culture and people from the same culture background.
